Job summary

PTSG Electrical Safety Division in Guildford is recruiting an Electrical Test & Remedial Engineer to perform EICRs on commercial/industrial sites across a regional footprint. You'll identify faults, produce clear reports, and oversee remedial works to meet BS7671.

Role requires fully qualified electrician status, City & Guilds inspection/testing qualifications, and 18th Edition. UK driving licence essential; collaborative and independent work styles welcomed.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3, AM2 or equivalent qualifications.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 (or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications).
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments.
• Fixed wire testing experience would be highly advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job properly first time.
• Someone who can work independently while still being a great team player.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial and industrial electrical installations.
• Identifying faults, non-compliances and potential risks, then producing high-quality reports that provide clear recommendations.
• Completing remedial and rectification works following inspections, ensuring installations meet the latest BS7671 requirements.
• Producing Minor Works Certificates, Remedial Completion Reports and associated compliance documentation.
• Carrying out additional specialist inspections and testing, including emergency lighting, RCD testing, thermographic surveys and distribution board maintenance.
• Working directly with customers on-site, providing a professional service while representing PTSG to the highest standard.
• Using modern testing equipment and reporting software to deliver accurate, efficient results.
• Staying up to date with industry regulations, standards and best practice.
