Job summary

PTSG Electrical Safety Division is seeking an Electrical Test & Remedial Engineer to cover Darlington with regional office visits. The role focuses on EICRs, identifying faults, and delivering remedial works for commercial and industrial sites. A full UK driving licence and BS7671 proficiency are essential.

You will work with cutting-edge testing equipment and reporting software, delivering high-quality documentation and maintaining the highest safety standards across client sites.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3, AM2 or equivalent qualifications.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications.
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial/industrial installations.
• Identify faults and risks; produce reports with clear recommendations.
• Complete remedial works following inspections to BS7671 standards.
• Produce Minor Works Certificates and Remedial Completion Reports.
• Perform specialist inspections and testing (emergency lighting, RCD testing, thermographic surveys).
• Work on-site with customers, representing PTSG to a high standard.
• Use modern testing equipment and reporting software to deliver accurate results.
