Job summary

PTSG Group in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Test & Remedial Engineer to perform EICRs and remedial works. You will identify faults, produce high-quality reports, and ensure installations meet BS7671, while supporting on-site customer interactions and using modern testing equipment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, AM2 or equivalent qualifications.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications.
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments.
• Fixed wire testing experience would be highly advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs on commercial and industrial electrical installations.
• Identify faults and risks; produce clear, actionable reports.
• Complete remedial works following inspections to BS7671.
• Produce Minor Works Certificates and Remedial Completion Reports.
• Perform additional inspections and testing (emergency lighting, RCD, thermographic surveys).
• On-site work with customers; represent PTSG to a high standard.
• Utilise modern testing equipment and reporting software; ensure accuracy.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Full UK Driving Licence

Experience in commercial electrical environments
