Job summary

PTSG Electrical Safety Division is seeking an Electrical Test & Remedial Engineer to join our Sutton-based team. You will perform EICRs on commercial/industrial sites across a regional footprint, identify faults, and deliver high-quality reports with clear remedial recommendations.

Ideally you are fully qualified (NVQ3/AM2, City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395, 18th Edition) with experience in commercial installations, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3, AM2 or equivalent qualifications.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 (or equivalent) inspection and testing qualifications.
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience carrying out electrical installation work within commercial environments.
• Fixed wire testing experience would be highly advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong team player with customer-facing on-site professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on commercial and industrial installations.
• Identifying faults, non-compliances and risks, then producing high-quality reports with clear recommendations.
• Completing remedial and rectification works following inspections to BS7671 standards.
• Producing Minor Works Certificates and related compliance documentation.
• Carrying out specialist inspections and testing including emergency lighting and RCD testing.
• Working directly with customers on-site, representing PTSG to a high standard.
• Using modern testing equipment and reporting software to deliver accurate results.
• Staying up to date with industry regulations, standards and best practice.
