Job summary

NHS Property Services is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join our Property & Facilities team. You will deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs across NHS sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliable facilities for patients and staff.

This field-based role covers the South Coast, including Bognor Regis, Worthing, Shoreham and Newhaven. It is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with a starting salary around £41,000, a company vehicle, 27 days

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, Maintenance or equivalent.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, regulations and safe systems of work.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in facilities management, healthcare, commercial, or public sector environments.
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair works on electrical systems and assets.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime and disruption.
• Complete electrical testing, inspection, and compliance activities in line with statutory requirements.
• Ensure all work is undertaken safely and in accordance with current regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities using company systems.
• Support the delivery of a high-performing maintenance service that meets customer expectations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to service excellence.
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and contractors.
• Participate in operational activities to ensure buildings remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
