Job summary

Aaron Wallis Sales Recruitment is seeking a field-based Field Debt Recovery Officer to visit business customers face-to-face across the Peterborough and Leicester area, recovering B2B utility debt. You will spend your week on the road, managing a defined territory and speaking with business owners and decision-makers.

Candidates must have proven face-to-face debt recovery experience; strong negotiation skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have previously performed field debt recovery, collections or enforcement.
• Experience visiting business customers face-to-face to discuss outstanding balances.

Responsibilities

• Visit commercial premises across your territory to recover outstanding B2B utility debt.
• Speak face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers.
• Understand the circumstances behind outstanding balances and find a workable resolution.
• Take payments and negotiate structured repayment plans.
• Re-engage customers where previous telephone/email contact has failed.
• Handle difficult conversations professionally, firmly and fairly.
• Manage your own diary, route planning and caseload across the territory.
• Work autonomously whilst maintaining accurate case records.
