Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to coach leaders across multiple sites, strengthen talent pipelines and translate operational insight into measurable capability improvements.

The role covers field-based coaching across stores in the South of England with 60-70% travel nationwide, requiring an active UK driving licence and right to work in the UK. Salary is £35,000–£38,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-site retail or hospitality leadership environment.
• Hands-on Learning & Development experience.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and leadership development skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability.
• Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.
• Data-driven approach to turn insight into action.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
• Full right to work in the UK - No sponsorship available.
• Desirable: experience gained within a branded coffee, retail or hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver live field coaching and store support with structured visits and targeted interventions.
• Support leadership readiness, formal sign-off preparation, talent trackers and succession planning.
• Facilitate workshops, onboarding and drive completion across learning activity.
• Support adoption of learning platforms and new initiatives, launches and store openings.
• Monitor coaching effectiveness, talent readiness and store visit outcomes using data insights.
• Assist recruitment pipelines and training actions as part of HR training activity.
• Manage the training calendar, provide monthly updates and join performance reviews.
• Provide focused coaching in at-risk or underperforming stores and respond to urgent priorities.
