Job summary

IMCD UK is seeking an Account Manager (Field Based) to develop business within high temperature, ceramics and electronics sectors across the UK. You will manage named customers, grow profitability and work with Product Managers to drive developments.

The role is home office-based with standard 37.5-hour weeks, requiring travel to customer sites and engagement with Salesforce CRM. Excellent negotiation and relationship skills are essential, with a proven track record in commercial growth.

Qualifications

• Must have strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Proven track record of commercial growth in the chemical industry.
• Willingness to travel to visit customers.
• Experience using Salesforce CRM.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial stewardship of named industrial customers.
• Grow profitability across assigned accounts.
• Contact and convert potential or existing customers to promote products.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and other account managers for support.
• Travel to visit customers to build relationships.
• Analyze data to identify gaps and new opportunities.
• Prepare samples, opportunities, quotations, and price renewal campaigns.
• Support UK Marketing campaigns and data management in CRM.
