Job summary

Lucion is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to join our Hazardous Materials team, based around Southampton. This hands-on surveying role involves working on commercial buildings, construction projects and public estates across Southampton and Hampshire, collecting accurate data and delivering high-quality NexGen reports.

You will follow HSG264 and HSE requirements, maintain QHSE documentation, and provide clear, technical guidance to clients.

Qualifications

• Hold BOHS P402, an RSPH equivalent qualification, or a Certificate of Competence.
• Good working knowledge of HSG264 (The Survey Guide).
• Full UK manual driving licence is required.
• Based in or around Southampton, Hampshire, with ability to travel across the South East.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all disciplines of asbestos surveying and inspection (Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys, plus asbestos in the ground).
• Travel across Southampton, Hampshire and surrounding areas to client sites.
• Collect accurate site data using a phablet and produce high‑quality NexGen reports.
• Work in line with asbestos legislation and guidance (HSG264, HSE requirements, construction regs).
• Maintain personal QHSE documentation and follow internal assurance processes.
• Provide a professional service and clear advice to clients and contractors.
• Deliver accurate, consistent work without shortcuts.
