Thomas Lee Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across the North West and North Midlands for CNC machine tools and related capital equipment. The role is permanent, home/field based, with autonomy and a supportive team.

You will manage an established customer base, develop new opportunities, visit manufacturers, and convert conversations into orders. The package includes a £65,000 basic salary, a company car, commission/bonus, and a broader benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience selling CNC machine tools or related manufacturing tech.
• Ability to discuss applications with engineers and production teams.
• Proven track record of developing long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop established customer relationships.
• Identify new machine-tool and manufacturing opportunities.
• Visit manufacturers across the North West and North Midlands.
• Understand machining applications and customer requirements.
• Develop capital-equipment opportunities from initial contact to order.
• Produce and progress quotations; coordinate with applications, service and tech teams.
