Job summary

Thomas Lee Recruitment LTD. is recruiting an Area Sales Manager for an established UK engineering business supplying CNC machine tools and technical support into manufacturers across the North West and North Midlands.

The role covers a Home/Field Based territory with a £65,000 basic salary, company car, and commission/bonus, plus a wider benefits package. You will take commercial responsibility for the territory, nurture an existing customer base and proactively pursue new opportunities,

Qualifications

• Ideally, experience selling CNC machine tools or closely related manufacturing technology.
• Understanding machine shops, engineering customers and technical sales is highly regarded.
• Ability to walk into a manufacturing business and discuss applications with engineers and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop established customer relationships across the territory.
• Identify and develop new machine-tool and manufacturing opportunities.
• Visit manufacturers in the North West and North Midlands to understand requirements.
• Understand machining applications and customer needs to develop capital-equipment opportunities.
• Produce and progress quotations and coordinate with applications, service and technical colleagues.
• Build long-term relationships and participate in exhibitions, demonstrations and industry events.
