Thomas Lee Recruitment Limited is recruiting an Area Sales Manager for an established UK engineering business supplying CNC machine tools into manufacturers across the North West and North Midlands. This is a field-based role with an existing customer base and regional coverage.

You will take commercial responsibility for the territory, develop relationships, identify new opportunities, and manage the full sale cycle from initial contact to order, collaborating with applications, service and

Qualifications

• Experience selling CNC machine tools or closely related capital equipment.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with manufacturers and engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of machining applications and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing established customer relationships
• Identifying new machine-tool and manufacturing opportunities
• Visiting manufacturers across the North West and North Midlands
• Understanding machining applications and customer requirements
• Developing capital-equipment opportunities from initial conversation through to order and progressing quotations
• Working alongside applications, service and technical colleagues
• Building longer-term relationships rather than one-off transactions
• Representing the business at exhibitions, demonstrations and events when required
