Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution is seeking an Operator - Asset Inspector based at the Worcester depot to inspect distribution network assets up to 132kV and related assets with statutory inspection regimes. The role requires fieldwork, independent working, and travel across the area.

Applicants should hold English & Maths GCSE and have a full UK driving licence, with evidence of qualifications required prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assets up to 132kV and other assets with statutory inspection regimes.
• Travel to sites across the area to carry out inspections and assess condition.
• Record inspection findings accurately via handheld devices or company systems; escalate safety concerns promptly.
• Manage workload, meet targets, and adapt to changing priorities.
