Job summary

Solsta is seeking a Field Applications Manager to support customers across the Midlands and the South of England. This role blends engineering expertise with commercial acumen to drive opportunities, support design wins and nurture long-term customer relationships.

You will work with leading semiconductor suppliers and internal teams, guiding customers from concept through prototyping and production while staying current with wireless and embedded technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of wireless technologies (LTE, NB-IoT, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa/LoRaWAN, GNSS).
• Experience with embedded platforms and prototyping.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support across wireless modules, SoM platforms and embedded technologies.
• Build strong relationships with customer engineering teams and propose solutions.
• Support customers through design lifecycle from concept to production.
• Identify and develop new design-win opportunities and maintain design pipeline.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management and suppliers to drive opportunities.
• Deliver technical presentations, seminars and customer workshops.
• Maintain CRM records and pipeline updates.
• Keep up to date with wireless tech trends and embedded platforms.
