Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an FLS Engineer Grade 1 to join the Maintenance Service Centre in Hatfield. The role supports full lifecycle IT asset management, including inspection, testing, cleaning and preparing devices for deployment, while ensuring service levels and accurate ticketing.

The position is temporary for six months with a start date of 24 August 2026 and end date of 19 February 2027. Hours are 9:00–18:00 with shift flexibility to cover 7.5‑hour windows.

Qualifications

• Experience handling or supporting IT hardware in a corporate/tech setting.
• Familiar with asset management, ticketing systems, or IT service workflows.
• Strong administrative and data-entry capabilities with attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic IT operational practices.

Responsibilities

• Receive, manage and track IT assets entering the workshop.
• Maintain accurate asset location records and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform filtration, visual inspections, tests and cleaning of IT equipment.
• Prepare new, refurbished and repaired hardware for deployment.
• Update tickets in asset management systems and support SLA targets.
• Support 6S workplace organisation and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with urgent investigations and issue resolution as required.

Weare seeking an FLS Engineer Grade 1 to join a busy Maintenance Service Centre.supporting the full lifecycle management of IT equipment. This role involvesinspecting, testing, cleaning, tracking, and preparing a wide range of ITdevices while ensuring excellent asset management and customer servicestandards.

Contract: Temporary (6 Months)

Start Date: 24 August 2026

End Date: 19 February 2027

Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Shift flexibilityrequired between 07:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 7.5-hour shifts with 30-minute lunch)

Rate: A per hour rate, in-scope IR35 of£14.29 per hour (PAYE) OR £18.53 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella)Company), in-scope IR35

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, manage, and track IT assets entering the workshop.
• Liaise with distribution and internal teams to resolve asset discrepancies.
• Perform filtration, visual inspections, functional testing, and cleaning of IT equipment.
• Prepare new, refurbished, and repaired hardware for deployment.
• Manage and update tickets within internal asset management systems.
• Maintain accurate asset tracking and location records.
• Support workshop housekeeping activities to prevent backlogs and maintain service levels.
• Assist with urgent investigations and issue resolution as required.
• Support 6S workplace organisation initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Work flexibly across different workshop functions to meet SLA targets and customer requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience supporting or handling IT hardware.
• Knowledge of hardware diagnostics, testing, and fault identification.
• Strong administrative and data-entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working in a corporate IT or technical environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Proactive, flexible, and hands‑on approach to work.

• ITIL knowledge or experience.
