Job description

We're looking for a technically capable and customer-focused IT Field & Support Engineer to join our growing technical team.

About the Role

In this hands‑on role, you'll be the primary point of contact for on-site IT installations and support across client sites, working closely with our Lead Engineer. From installing network infrastructure and new hardware to responding to incidents within SLAs, you'll play a key part in delivering gold‑standard service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Visiting client sites to install, configure and maintain IT infrastructure (network equipment, hardware, software)
• Responding to on‑site incidents and providing technical support
• Scheduling and managing site attendances and project work
• Supporting the central helpdesk team with remote end‑user support
• Completing site documentation, asset audits and administration
• Assisting the sales team with site surveys and pre‑sales recommendations

Qualifications

• A full, valid UK driving licence with regular access to a vehicle
• Experience with end‑user IT support (computers, networks, software, devices)
• A working understanding of network devices, routers, switches, access points
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Desktop environments

Required Skills

• Bonus points for experience with Active Directory, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper‑V), SharePoint, firewalls, VPNs, or wireless infrastructure, but we're happy to develop the right person.
