Job summary

MEARS GROUP PLC is seeking a Fencing Labourer in Brentwood for a full-time, permanent role. You will support the fencing team with installation, repair and maintenance of various fencing systems, while handling measurements, post digging and material preparation.

The job requires outdoor work in all weather, following health and safety procedures. The position includes a company van and fuel card, 42.5 hours per week, and benefits such as generous annual leave and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Experience in labouring, construction or fencing environments
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work
• Knowledge of health and safety on site
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in social housing is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assist fencing team with installation, repair and maintenance of fencing and gate systems (timber, metal, chain link)
• Measure and mark fence lines, dig post holes, prepare materials and help install panels and gates
• Prepare work areas, load/unload materials, maintain tools and equipment, and keep sites clean and safe
