Job summary

Rehability UK is seeking Support Workers in Dawlish to help adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs live their best lives. You will assist with daily activities, provide personal care, accompany to appointments, and support engagement in community and social activities.

We welcome driven individuals who communicate well, are willing to learn, and preferably have a valid driver's license. Training is provided, with opportunities to progress within our care teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent Communication skills and ability to adapt to individual needs.
• Experience with complex needs, mental health, autism or learning disability.
• Driver preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively to support individuals with communication needs.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene as required.
• Administer medications if needed and as directed.
• Help with meal preparation and kitchen tasks.
• Assist with cleaning, shopping, and planning daily activities.
• Support attendance at medical appointments.
• Support with social activities and community engagement.
• Work with individuals with complex needs (learning disability, mental health) as per service requirements.
• Roles may require flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate is essential, considering individual communication needs, and helping people communicate effectively with others.
