Job summary

Rehability UK Support Services Ltd in Tiverton is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. You will help them engage in meaningful activities, accompany them on community outings, and support daily routines with compassion and professionalism.

You will work closely with a team to ensure personalised care, assist with personal care and meals, and help clients access medical appointments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with complex needs, or mental health, autism or learning disability.
  • Male or female as per service requirement, and ideally a driver.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Flexible.
  • Communication.

Responsibilities

  • Help people engage in meaningful opportunities and activities.
  • Support in the community with social activities or shopping trips.
  • Communicate effectively considering individual needs.
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene if required.
  • Administer medications if required.
  • Prepare and cook meals, cleaning, shopping, plan daily activities.
  • Support attending medical appointments.
  • Support with social activities.

Rehability UK specialises in supporting adults with complex needs (including, but not limited to, autistic spectrum condition, learning disability, and mental health) to live their best possible life. Your Role

Our Support Workers are our greatest asset. By understanding the needs of people you support, you'll provide exceptional care that can change their lives. Your role will involve, however, not limited to:

  • Helping people we support to engage in meaningful opportunities and activities—empowering them to enjoy a great life filled with unforgettable experiences.
  • Getting involved in support in the community as social activities or shopping trips.
  • Ability to communicate is essential, considering individual communication needs, and helping people communicate effectively with others.
  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
  • Medication administration (if required).
  • Support with preparing and cooking meals, cleaning, shopping, planning daily activities.
  • Support with attending medical appointments.
  • Support with social activities.
Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience with complex needs, or mental health, autism or learning disability, as per service requirement.
  • Male or female as per service requirement, and ideally a driver.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Flexible.
  • Communication.

  • We are not offering sponsorships to any of the roles.
  • Must be a driver.
