Job summary

Advance Housing & Support Ltd. in Hackney is seeking a Female Support Worker to provide person-centred care for a female client with complex needs.

The role covers 2:1 support, with a second female colleague to share duties, and requires compassionate, patient care in line with care plans. You will work as part of a team to deliver high-quality support, including mobility assistance, continence care, and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities/autism/complex needs.
• Ability to work with another staff member to provide 2:1 support.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including continence support, hygiene and maintaining dignity.
• Support with medication administration and accurate record-keeping.
• Assist with moving, handling and repositioning using appropriate equipment.
• Support with food shopping, meal preparation, nutrition and hydration.
• Manage choking risks in accordance with care plans and risk assessments.
• Support attendance at hospital appointments and other healthcare visits.
• Assist the customer in maintaining regular contact with family members.
• Monitor health and wellbeing and report any concerns promptly.
