Job summary

Advance Housing & Support Ltd in Hackney (E5) is seeking a dedicated Female Support Worker to provide 2:1 person-centred care for a female client with complex needs. You will work with another female colleague to deliver compassionate daily support and maintain dignity and safety.

We offer comprehensive training, flexible hours and clear opportunities to progress within Advance. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £28,938 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs including moving and handling, medication, continence care and choking awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including continence support, hygiene and dignity.
• Support with medication administration and accurate record-keeping.
• Assist with moving, handling and repositioning using appropriate equipment.
• Support with food shopping, meal preparation, nutrition and hydration.
• Manage choking risks per care plans and risk assessments.
• Support attendance at hospital appointments and healthcare visits.
• Assist customer in maintaining contact with family.
• Monitor health and wellbeing and report concerns promptly.
