Job summary

Advance is hiring a Female Casual Support Worker for Hampshire, Southampton. This zero-hours role supports individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs, with flexible hours including weekends and nights.

You will assist with personal care, meals, appointments and daily activities, while maintaining accurate records and care plans. Training and progression opportunities are provided within Advance.

Qualifications

• Good values, motivation and willingness to help people.
• Excellent communication with customers and colleagues.
• Able to complete care records to a good standard.
• Willingness to work alternate weekends and learn.
• Follow care plans and risk assessments accurately.
• Be literate and numerate in English.
• Aim to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Meal preparation and cooking support.
• Attend medical appointments with customers.
• Support social activities and independent skills.
• Assist with domestic duties like cleaning and laundry.
• Keep accurate records and update care plans.
• Keep training up to date and safe practices.
• Ensure premises are safe during the night checks.
• Support meal times and food preparation (if required).
• Conduct regular safety checks on customers.
