Job summary

CareTech is seeking a compassionate Female Support Worker to provide person-centred support in the home of an individual in Ramsgate. The role involves daily living assistance, promoting independence, and attending community activities.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential; training and DBS are provided. You will work a rota including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins to support the person’s needs.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).
• Full UK driving licence or access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.

We are seeking a compassionate, engaging, and enthusiastic Female Support Worker to provide dedicated support to an individual in her own home and local community.

The lady we support has a passion for arts and crafts, so we are looking for someone who will enjoy participating in creative activities and encouraging her interests. A friendly personality, positive outlook, and a good sense of humour are essential, as building a fun and engaging relationship is important to her. In her own words, she enjoys "having a laugh and a bit of banter."

The role involves supporting a full-time wheelchair user with a range of daily activities and promoting independence. Applicants must be able to safely carry out the physical aspects of the role and be comfortable supporting an active lifestyle both at home and in the community.

About the Service - Hereson House

Hereson House provides care and support for up to 19 adults and is made up of 5 shared flats within 2 buildings with an established friendly team located close to the beach.

Good parking facilities onsite with local transport.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts

The Role

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (or willingness to drive service vehicles where applicable) is essential., We're seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we'll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
