Job summary

Avenues Group in Caterham is seeking Female Support Workers to join a small team of eight, supporting five ladies with learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism. You will help them engage in day-to-day activities, stay connected with family, and participate in community events.

• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Help people supported participate in day-to-day activities and community activities.
• Support social activities and help residents keep in touch with family and friends.
• Lend a hand with managing finances and keeping living spaces tidy.
• Provide and encourage personal care and daily routines.
• Enjoy and engage with the role to support the individuals effectively.

We're looking for Female Support Workers to join us in Caterham. You'll be part of a small team of 8, supporting 5 lovely ladies with learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism. They're all mad about music and would really appreciate someone with brilliant communication skills. Plus, they're absolute fans of pamper sessions - nails, facials, you name it! It'd be ace if you've got some experience working with adults who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, but honestly, it's not essential.

No two days are the same, but here's what you might get up to!

• Helping the people we support get stuck into day-to-day activities and making the most of what's happening in the community and beyond.
• Supporting social activities and helping them keep in touch with family and mates.
• Lending a hand with managing finances.
