Job summary

Advance is seeking Casual Support Workers in Basingstoke, RG21 to assist customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and mental health conditions to live the lives they choose.

The role offers flexible hours, part-time contracts, full training, and opportunities to progress within Advance. You will work with a supportive team, ensuring person-centered care and accurate recording of care plans.

Qualifications

• Good at working on your own and within a team.
• Excellent at communicating with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Literate and numerate in English.
• Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Support with preparing and cooking meals.
• Support with attending medical appointments.
• Support with social activities.
• Support with independent skills.
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required.
• Keeping up to date with your training.
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night.
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required).
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety.
