Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a caring Care Assistant to join our expert team in Sunderland. You’ll support customers in their own homes, helping with daily living and promoting independence in a friendly, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include high-quality, person-centered care, personal care, meal prep, and medication support. A driving licence and own vehicle are required, with availability from 4pm–10pm and alternating weekends.

• Full Driving Licence and own reliable vehicle is required.
• Availability from 4pm to 10pm is essential.
• Must be able to commit to working alternate weekends.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship or visa transfer.

• Help with meal planning, preparation and nutrition.

Responsibilities

As aCare Assistantyour key responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
