Job summary

Bluebird Care Manchester South is seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. You will support customers in their own homes, assisting with daily living tasks and maintaining independence, dignity and safety.

A full UK driving licence is required or access to a vehicle, and you will receive full induction and ongoing expert training, uniform and PPE. We offer 24/7 support, a friendly team, and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Compassionate and calm approach to care.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to follow care plans.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.

Requirements
