Job summary

Priority Recruitment is seeking a Female Support Worker in the Darlington area to provide 1:1 support for a young adult with an acquired brain injury, helping her maintain independence and participate in activities.

The role offers regular day shifts, a competitive PAYE rate of £16.00–£17.93 per hour, weekly pay, DBS fee reimbursement, and extensive discounts plus access to training to develop skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills and be confident engaging in conversation and social activities.
• Healthcare training or equivalent qualification is required.
• Experience working with Acquired Brain Injury is essential; other experience with young adults is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a young adult with ABI in her own home.
• Give prompts and encouragement with daily living and routines.
• Help develop and maintain independence and confidence.
• Encourage access to local community and activities.
• Support an active lifestyle with gym visits and outings.
• Assist with budgeting, planning and day-to-day organisation.
