Job summary

Priority Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Female Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting an elderly gentleman with a traumatic brain injury in his own home in the Darlington area.

This well-established role requires 24/7 support with 2:1 during the day and 1:1 overnight, focusing on patient, person-centred care to promote safety, independence and quality of life. Part-time shifts are available, with a competitive pay rate of £16.81 PAYE inclusive of holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting adults with complex needs, including brain injury
• Experience providing personal care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm, patient, and proactive approach
• The ability to work effectively within a team environment and on a rota basis

Responsibilities

• Supporting with all aspects of personal care
• Administration of medication
• Meal preparation and nutritional support
• Supporting with social activities and community access
• Providing meaningful engagement and companionship
• Attending appointments and outings
• Supporting with mobility and transfers
• Working collaboratively as part of a 2:1 support team
• Following care plans and risk assessments to ensure safe, consistent support
