Job summary

Navantia in Belfast, BT3, seeks FCAW Welders for immediate starts with a rate of £24.20 per hour plus £8 travel allowance. Successful candidates will weld heavy steel plates on ship projects, work from fabrication drawings and welding procedures, and demonstrate positional welding experience.

BPSS clearance may be required during onboarding. Expect challenges on heavy structural steel and strict safety standards, with a view to long-term opportunities for skilled welders.

Qualifications

We’re anticipating FCAW Welder opportunities with Navantia in Belfast (BT3) and are currently getting ahead of the curve for candidates who may be interested.

Location: Belfast, BT3
Role: FCAW Welders
Anticipated starts: From 21/09
Rate: £24.20 per hour + £8 per hour travel allowance (TA is only paid for candidates who live 39 miles or more from site!)
Immediate starts anticipated
The work will involve heavy steel plate welding across ship projects. Candidates should be confident working from fabrication drawings and welding procedures, with experience in positional welding and structural steel.

We’re looking for:

• Relevant FCAW welding experience
• Experience working with heavy steel plate
• Relevant trade qualifications/papers/current codings
• Ability to pass a trade test
• A strong focus on safety and quality

All successful candidates will most likely be required to complete BPSS security clearance as part of the onboarding process.
