Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited in Belfast (BT3) is seeking Level 2 Welding Inspector candidates to join our client’s team. You will support fabrication projects, perform weld inspections and verify compliance with approved procedures, drawings, specifications and standards.

Required CSWIP 3.1 / PCN Level 2 Welding Inspector and BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in engineering; strong welding and fabrication inspection experience; reading welding symbols; knowledge of FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SMAW, GTAW/TIG, SAW; good IT

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.1 / PCN Level 2 Welding Inspector required.
• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline preferred.
• Strong fabrication and welding inspection experience is essential.
• Knowledge of FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SMAW, GTAW/TIG and SAW.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding defects and relevant standards.

Job description

We’re anticipating Level 2 Welding Inspector opportunities with in Belfast (BT3) and are currently building our candidate pool.

Location: Belfast, BT3
Role: Level 2 Welding Inspector
Anticipated start: From 21/09
Rate: £24.20 per hour + £8 per hour travel allowance
TA: Only paid to candidates living 39+ miles from site

The role will involve supporting fabrication projects, carrying out weld inspections and ensuring work meets approved procedures, drawings, specifications and relevant standards.

We’re looking for:

• CSWIP 3.1 / PCN Level 2 Welding Inspector
• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline
• Strong fabrication and welding inspection experience
• Knowledge of FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SMAW, GTAW/TIG and SAW
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols
• Knowledge of welding defects and relevant standards
• Shipbuilding/classification experience advantageous
• Good IT skills, including Word and Excel
• Strong focus on safety and quality
• Other relevant PCN/inspection qualifications may be considered.

Candidates will be responsible for arranging and covering their own accommodation and transportation.
