Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking an experienced Family Time Worker for a temporary role in the Manchester area. The role is full-time, 35 hours per week, and involves working closely with Social Workers to run child-centred family time sessions.

The successful candidate will supervise sessions, record notes for Social Workers, transport children when needed, and support families with parenting skills and boundaries within care plans. Enhanced DBS and a valid driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, families or within Children's Services.
• Experience supervising or supporting family time sessions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• DBS enhanced clearance.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support family time sessions, ensuring safety and child-centred focus.
• Observe and record the quality of family interactions and provide detailed notes for Social Workers.
• Transport children to and from sessions when required.
• Support parents with practical parenting skills, routines and boundaries.
• Contribute observations to multi-agency discussions and meetings.
