Role: Family Support Worker (Across London and outer London)

Location: London

Purpose of Role:

The candidate must have experience working with children and their families, particularly in safeguarding and family support. The role involves providing parenting advice, understanding child development, applying systemic models, assessing risks related to child protection, and direct work with children.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Have experience working with children and their families.
2. Provide safeguarding and support services for families.
3. Manage a caseload effectively with available resources.
4. Support, assist, and coach families or individuals who are homeless, offering advice on welfare and housing benefits, tax credits, debt counseling, housing options, employment, training opportunities, and long-term accommodation options.
5. Motivate clients to take action to improve their situations and life chances, supporting them in a way that is outcome-focused to build their talents towards independent living.
6. Develop and review solution-focused and person-centred action/support plans, both short and long-term, to meet client needs.
