Job summary

The Links Academy Trust is seeking a Family Support Worker to provide early, targeted help to vulnerable families across multiple towns on a live caseload. The role blends office case management with home and school visits, including travel between trust sites in London.

You will support families with tailored plans, parenting guidance, and assistance with benefit claims such as DLA and PIP. A full enhanced DBS check is required and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy to NVQ level 2 or GCSE grades A-C/9-4.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted early-intervention support to vulnerable families on an active caseload.
• Work in family homes and school settings to remove barriers to education, including poor attendance and risk-taking behaviour.
• Create tailored support plans for families.
• Deliver practical parenting guidance on routines and behaviour.
• Model positive family dynamics.
• Help families with benefit applications such as DLA and PIP.
• Coordinate with multi-agency partners through Team Around the Family meetings.
• Split time between office-based case management and community outreach.
• Travel across all Links Academy sites.
