Job summary

Moray Council seeks a Family Link Worker to provide targeted support for families, carers, children and young people, addressing home-based barriers to learning and promoting resilience and wellbeing. The role collaborates with schools, early learning centres, and community partners to signpost and deliver face-to-face interventions.

The post requires PVG scheme membership or update prior to offer, with duties including assessing needs, planning and delivering group and one-to-one programmes,

Qualifications

• Experience of working relationally with families, children and young people.
• Experience of needs assessment.
• Excellent communication, both oral and written, and ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• To work relationally and in partnership to deliver targeted supports that address home based barriers to learning, support transitions, and promote resilience, wellbeing and positive engagement with school, family and community based learning opportunities
• To work in partnership to assess the needs of families (carers), children and young people who are part of your caseload
• To develop, deliver and evaluate programmes of need based support for the families (carers), children and young people on your caseload
