Job summary

Home-Start HOST in Oldham is seeking a Family Support - Community Navigator to help families access services—from Family Hubs to specialist providers. You will work face-to-face in communities, schools, libraries and Family Hubs, building trust and guiding families to the support they need.

You will collaborate with schools, healthcare and social services, maintain records, and promote inclusive services. The role welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, including bilingual speakers, and

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with children, parents or families.
• Understand the challenges families can face and are passionate about improving outcomes for children.
• Know Oldham’s communities and value the importance of local connections.
• Are warm, approachable and able to engage confidently with a diverse range of families and partners.
• Have good safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Connect families with local resources, services, and programs that support their well-being.
• Facilitate access to community activities and support networks to promote engagement and empowerment.
• Maintain accurate records of family interactions.
