Job summary

CrossReach in Scotland is seeking a Centre Worker to support children under 12 and their families. You will build trusting relationships, provide practical and emotional support, and help families develop strategies for home life and wellbeing.

The role emphasizes working with social work teams, safeguarding, and contributing to service development, with a commitment to inclusive care and Christian ethos.

Qualifications

• Minimum SVQ2/HNC in Social Work, Social Care or Early Years.
• Knowledge of GIRFEC, Realising the Ambition, SSSC Codes would be an advantage.
• Experience with children and/or families, with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for families.
• Work with social work teams to connect families with the right support.
• Keep accurate records and contribute to planning and reviewing the support provided.
• Support and guide volunteers within the service.
