Job summary

CrossReach Trading Ltd invites applications for a Centre Worker to work with children under 12 and their families, building relationships and helping families thrive.

You will provide practical and emotional support, work with social work teams, and contribute to safeguarding and record-keeping. The role requires SVQ2/HNC in Social Work or related, and offers strong development opportunities and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires SVQ2/HNC in Social Work, Social Care, Early Years or equivalent, or willingness to work towards one.
• Knowledge of GIRFEC, Realising the Ambition, SSSC Codes of Practice, UNCRC or The Promise is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for families.
• Work with families to understand needs, strengths and challenges.
• Help families develop practical strategies to support home life and wellbeing.
• Use play and nurturing approaches to support children’s wellbeing and development.
• Collaborate with social work teams and other agencies to connect families with support.
• Signpost families to additional services and resources.
