Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities gain independence and enjoy the activities they love. You’ll support people in the community, accompany them to appointments, build everyday life skills and promote dignity and person‑centred care.

No previous care experience is required; we provide a full induction, ongoing training and opportunities to develop your confidence, skills and career within our social care teams across Scotland.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme membership and SSSC registration required.
• SVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care or willingness to achieve.
• UK work entitlement verified before employment.
• Experience in supporting autistic people welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to enjoy community activities and hobbies.
• Encourage independence and build everyday life skills.
• Accompany people to appointments, education, work and leisure activities.
• Support health, wellbeing and social inclusion.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Maintain accurate digital records.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
• Promote dignity, respect and person centred support.
