Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a proactive Family Support Worker/Coordinator to support children and families across our school network in the West Midlands. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and pastoral staff, helping children overcome emotional, social and attendance barriers to learning while safeguarding and coordinating with families and external agencies.

This role requires resilience, empathy and strong organisation to run early help initiatives, lead nurture

Qualifications

Experience supporting children's emotional and pastoral needs.
Understanding of Early Help and safeguarding processes.
Ability to work with both children and parents.
Experience with multi-agency working and keeping accurate records.

Responsibilities

Morning support: Lead Breakfast Club from 8:00am and welcome families at the school gates.
Nurture and mentoring: Run lunchtime nurture groups and provide 1:1 mentoring for emotional development.
Early Help and attendance: Engage with families, including home visits, to improve attendance and routines.
Supporting learning: Collaborate with teachers and share pastoral information at Pupil Progress Meetings.
Safeguarding: Act as Deputy DSL, maintain CPOMS records, complete Early Help Assessments.
