Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a proactive Family Support Worker / Coordinator to support children and families across our school. You will collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and pastoral staff to help children overcome emotional, social, family and attendance barriers to learning.

Key duties include leading Breakfast Club, running nurture groups, 1:1 mentoring and home visits, with safeguarding responsibilities as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and CPOMS record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children’s emotional and pastoral needs.
• Able to engage with children and parents.
• Knowledge of Early Help and safeguarding processes.
• Ability to work in multi-agency settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead Breakfast Club from 8:00am and welcome families at the school gates.
• Run lunchtime nurture groups and provide 1:1 mentoring to support emotional regulation, confidence and social skills.
• Conduct home visits to understand attendance barriers and support punctuality.
• Collaborate with teachers and attend Pupil Progress Meetings to remove barriers to learning.
• Act as a Deputy DSL and maintain CPOMS records, coordinating with other professionals.
