Barnardo's is recruiting a Family Support Assistant to join the Family Well-Being Team in Brent. The role involves working with young children and their families one-to-one or in groups, using varied interventions at home and in the centres to identify needs and promote positive outcomes.

The post supports colleagues in more complex cases and contributes to delivering inclusive, high-quality services across multiple locations within the London Borough of Brent.

Initial Location of Post: This post involves working across several locations within London Borough of Brent. You will be based at one of Family Wellbeing Centre but expected to work across thelocality.

Family Well-Being Centres aim to provide high quality multi-agency services that are flexible and support the needs of young children and their families. Services are available to all children 0-19 years old, along with their parents/carers who live in the local community. The centres wider goals are to have a positive and lasting impact on each and every family that attends and help to improve their outcomes in life.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Family Support Assistant to work within the Family Well-Being Team, engaging with young children and their families on a one-to-one or group basis, using a variety of interventions both in the home and at the centres, to identify needs and to achieve positive outcomes. The work will include supporting the family support workers who work with the more complex cases/situations presenting within the service.
