Make a Meaningful Difference in the Lives of Children and Families

We are proud to be part of the Newcastle Early Help System, working closely with children, young people, and their families across the 0-19 age range. Our service delivers a broad range of family-focused interventions designed to promote positive outcomes, build resilience, and strengthen family relationships. In addition to direct support, we offer a diverse programme of holiday activities—an area where our Family Practitioners play a hands‑on and valued role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, proactive, and skilled practitioner with experience in multi‑agency working to join a supportive, motivated team. If you are passionate about empowering families and helping children thrive, we would love to hear from you.

What You Will Do
  • Supporting holistic, whole‑family assessments to identify strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a dynamic team to deliver flexible, creative, and outcome‑focused support to children, young people, and their families.
  • Assisting the Lead Practitioner with Early Help Assessments and Plans.
  • Facilitating responsive group programmes that meet the needs of families.
  • Delivering support directly in the family home.
  • Responding promptly to enquiries and referrals, carrying out effective support and regular reviews.
  • Helping families access resources, especially those who may face barriers to engagement.
  • Offering practical support and encouragement to help parents build confidence and strengthen parenting skills.
  • Advocating on behalf of babies, children, and young people when needed.
  • Contributing to integrated service delivery, including initiatives such as the Supporting Families Programme and UNICEF Baby Friendly status.
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with data protection regulations and supporting data collection to monitor progress and outcomes.
  • Developing strong professional links with key partners, including schools and health services.
  • Participating in multi‑disciplinary meetings to ensure services are timely, appropriate, and well‑coordinated.
  • Acting in line with safeguarding policies and procedures, responding appropriately to any child protection concerns.
