Job summary

Essex County Council’s Adult Community Learning (ACL) seeks a Vocational Trainer - Family Learning to deliver high-quality teaching for parents, carers and families. You will develop engaging family learning sessions, design resources, and assess learner progress, ensuring inclusive opportunities across schools, community venues and online.

This part-time role offers varied hours including some evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

Experience delivering family learning or adult learning programmes.
Good digital and ICT skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging family learning programmes for parents, carers and families.
Develop lesson plans, schemes of work and learning resources.
Adapt activities for diverse learners and remove participation barriers.
Use assessment methods to monitor progress and provide feedback.
Maintain accurate attendance, progress and achievement records using ACL systems.
Deliver learning in schools, community venues and online.
Build relationships with schools and partner agencies to promote learning.
Deliver occasional evening and school holiday provision.
