Job summary

Essex County Council’s Adult Community Learning (ACL) seeks an enthusiastic tutor to plan, deliver and assess a range of community learning sessions tailored to diverse learner needs across Essex. The role includes English, maths, digital skills, employability and wellbeing, with emphasis on inclusion and progression.

You’ll work with partners and the Community Engagement Officer to recruit, engage and support learners, attend outreach events, and contribute to curriculum planning and quality

Qualifications

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience delivering learning, training or support to adults.
Experience working with diverse communities.
Willing to work towards a teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

Plan, deliver and assess high-quality community learning sessions tailored to learner needs.
Deliver entry-level and community learning programmes including English, maths, digital skills.
Embed English, maths and digital skills within learning programmes.
Attend community events and outreach activities to promote ACL courses.
Collaborate with partners and the Community Engagement Officer to recruit and support progression.
