The Role

1. Handle a diverse caseload including care proceedings, PLO matters, private law children’s cases, and domestic abuse injunctions.
2. Provide advice on unmarried couples, cohabitation disputes, and general family law matters.
3. Undertake their own advocacy and work independently or as part of a team.
4. Supervise or support junior staff as needed.
5. Contribute to the firm’s business development and reputation locally.

The Person

1. Must be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years’ PQE in family law.
2. Have solid experience working under legal aid, with a good understanding of procedures and billing.
3. Willing to undertake panel accreditation (if not already accredited).
4. Commercially aware and capable of generating private work.
5. Open to networking and building client relationships.
6. IT-literate and comfortable working in a paperless, tech-enabled office.
7. Preferably have a following (though not essential).
