The Gloucestershire Children’s Services Family Help Team Leader role involves directing a multidisciplinary team of Family Help Leads and coordinating plans across local Family Hubs. The post supports children from targeted early help through to court work, with a focus on outcomes and reflective practice.

The role requires strong leadership, evidence-based interventions and cross-agency collaboration, with permanent status and options for job share.

Qualifications

• Leading and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Providing reflective supervision aligned to practice framework.
• Building partnerships across health, education, social care and community organisations.
• Demonstrating evidence-based, risk-informed decision making.
• Communicating effectively with families, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
• Maintaining resilience and emotional intelligence in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Family Help Leads from mixed professional backgrounds.
• Provide reflective supervision aligned to the Relational Systemic Practice Framework.
• Offer guidance and oversight of evidence-based support and interventions.
• Coordinate Family Help plans delivered by Family Help Leads in local Family Hubs.
• Ensure good outcomes for children supported through Targeted Early Help and Child in Need.
• Undertake Family Help assessments and coordinate multi-agency support.
• Deliver interventions that build resilience and reduce risk.
• Build positive relationships with children, young people and families.
• Provide continuity of support from targeted early help to court work.
