Job summary

Caritas Recruitment seeks an experienced Team Leader for the Family Help Team in Gloucester to guide a group of qualified social workers, ensuring high-quality services for children and families.

You will lead case management, collaborate with families and partners, and monitor team performance while ensuring compliance with policy and statutory requirements. A social work qualification and registration are essential, with at least 3 years post-qualification experience in children’s services.

Qualifications

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registered with Social Work England and a minimum of 3 years of post‑qualification experience in children’s services.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a social work setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.

Responsibilities

• Providing effective leadership and supervision to the Family Help Team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Overseeing case management, ensuring assessments, interventions, and support plans are developed and implemented effectively.
• Working closely with families, community organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate services and resources.
• Monitoring and evaluating team performance, providing feedback and training as needed to enhance skills and service delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with local authority policies, procedures, and statutory requirements while maintaining best practice standards.
