Job summary

Herefordshire Council in Leominster is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Family Help locality team. You will lead a complex caseload, deliver Family Help Plans, and work with partner agencies to promote safeguarding and positive outcomes for children.

You must have a Social Work Degree and current registration, with experience in statutory social care. We offer progression pathways, a market supplement, a welcome payment, relocation support, generous leave, and flexible working

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Experience with children and families in a statutory social care setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a complex caseload as Family Help Lead Practitioner.
• Assess needs, identify risks, and develop Family Help Plans with partner agencies.
• Chair and contribute to Child in Need, core group and strategy meetings; undertake risk assessments and safeguarding work; produce high-quality reports including court work.

Social Work Degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent
