Job summary

Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking a Family Connect Advisor to support safeguarding and multi-agency team work within the Family Connect partnership.

This 12-month secondment is based at Darby House, 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8.50am–5pm. You will provide timely information, advice, guidance and coordination to ensure the right service is accessed at the right time and place by the right people.

A collaborative, child-centered approach underpins the service.

Qualifications

• Provide information, advice, guidance and support to stakeholders to ensure the right service is accessed.
• Office based at Darby House, Monday to Friday 8.50am–5pm.
• Secondment for 12 months and 37 hours per week.

• Supply stakeholders with timely information, advice, guidance and support to ensure the right service at the right time.
• Coordinate with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and young people.
• Work within the Family Connect service to deliver a child-centred, joined-up response.

Telford & Wrekin Council has put Children and families at the heart of its' vision for the future. In reshaping our services, we have established Family Connect, a new multiagency partnership approach to safeguarding children and young people.

Family Connect operates a single point of contact for services accessed by the public and professionals to ensure that the right service is delivered at the right time, in the right place by the right people.

The Family Connect Service is a fresh approach to safeguarding children. It consists of a multi-agency partnership that offers child-centred co-ordinated activity.

The post holder working in the Family Connect service will be required to supply all stakeholders with timely Information, advice, guidance and support to ensure the right service at the right time can be accessed.

This post is office based at Darby House and operates Monday-Friday 8.50am-5pm
